New Blogger

Call me Edmal. I know that short sentence is close to the opening line in ‘Moby Dick’ (Call me Ismael). Yet, unlike Ahab’s obsession with a great white whale, mine is for human rights and equality for all, in Canada. Specifically, Manitoba. With this blog, I will be posting correspondence that I sent to certain elected officials, provincial agencies, TV and print media and others. You may notice that there will not be much correspondence from those parties, if at all. You will also notice that there is some repetition in my outgoing letters. This is due to changes in officials, as well as due to the lack of responses and recognition from all concerned. The main line media (TV and print) operating here in Manitoba ignore the plights that I fully cover in all correspondence. It could be because they have personal relationships with some or all of the parties concerned. Or it could be that, contrary to their ‘your story matters’ statements, and their short lived ‘Journalists for Human Rights’ advertisement, they don’t truly care. Hence, this blog has been started. Soon, I will start the true ‘Posts’.

A little about myself. My ancestry is mixed, and I am very proud of it. I am a retiree, who firmly believes in the welfare of seniors. Not only for our health, but for our rights, which businesses and government officials and employees seem to not only ignore, but support any violations that we face. The building in which I live is a property owned by the provincial government, and is a senior residence. Here is where the story begins.

So, I hope that all you interested readers and bloggers out there will ‘tune in’ soon, when I begin. Take care, and stay safe.
